Food
- pricey at $75 nett but guess reasonable for a restaurant with numerous accolades
- modern cantonese food that may not appeal to traditionalists
- hae bee hiam chilli was good compliment for starters and 2nd dish for duck (minced duck with lettuce cup)
- iberico pork char siew was extremely tender
- though smoky, preferred the traditional Peking Duck from Imperial Treasures as Hua Ting's version had a sweeter sauce, less crispy skin and more meat served in the crepe wrapper
- the stock for Dong Xing Garoupa Rice was excellent, almost as good as shark cartilage soup, and the rice was bubbling hot as it was served dry in the stone bowl, with the superior stock poured over only when served at the table
- almond puree was mild which suited me to a tea as a non-almond product drinker
