Hallasan National Park @ Jeju


Note
- tallest mountain in Korea @ 1950m
- UNESCO in 2002 & World Heritage in 2007

- 8 treks from different starting points and durations
- chose Eoseungsaengak Trail which is rated easy and 1 hour return trip from Eorimok Visitor Centre
- 2 minute walk from big car park (KRW1800 per entry)
- no entrance fee

- trail rated as "easy" but probably easy relative to the other longer 7 trails, as still challenging on the heart
- 169m elevation in about 30 minutes 1-way
- final platform is not sheltered, with 2 binoculars and a bomb shelter



8 trails

- Eorimok trail starts from same car park as    Eoseungsaengak Trail but in different direction
- Yeongsil trail (5.8km, 2.5hrs 1-way, from Yeongsil rest area)

Trail to Hallasan summit & online reservation required
- Seongpanak trail (2-way @ 18.5km, 7 hrs, 1158m)
- Gwaneumsa trail (2-way @ 17.5km, 10 hrs, steeper
